Top 5 Success Tips for Women in Chat rooms and on Internet Blogging Websites

By

For community chat rooms or other online social media outlet

Any successful business person will tell you, (that in the infancy of their career) all initial successful challenges, were met by overcoming the mistakes they made.

β€œTo succeed, you will soon learn, as I did...... ” β€”Alan Greenspan

"I try to learn from the past...." β€”Donald Trump

1) Get out while you are ahead.

Staying true to your principles is one thing, however, arguing a point excessively is another. At the end of an argument you need to ask yourself, "Did I make a difference or did I just lose potential ad revenue or followers?"

It is extremely important that you get a full comprehension of how your view points directly impact your business. It's really about the bottom dollar, and not whether your wrong or your right. For whatever the reason, the person you are conversing with wants or needs to feel smarter than you, so let them. To argue with them is a dead end game, which gets you no where fast. There are over 8 billion people conversing in Internet chat rooms, community forums, and actively participating in some sort of blogger interaction somewhere online, every minute of the day. Be the positive and friendliest voice in the room, and leave your opinions to yourself.

2) Tread carefully before you type.

Second rule of thumb is understanding that everyone likes to hear themselves speak, including yourself. These types of places, essentially are to some people, the only place where they can have a voice. Therefore, you are often dealing with people who might be shy or insecure in their real lives, but, battle hounds in their avatar worlds. One of the major business guidelines for any entrepreneur is to listen and think first, before you speak or write something. Business people wanting to drive traffic to their personal blogs, which may have their own forum or chat rooms established, must really be careful not to say to much of the "wrong" things... Think carefully before you speak, therefore, tread carefully before you type.

3) Avoid five points of conversation, which lead to confrontation.

People love to lecture other people on,

  1. What to believe.
  2. How to think.
  3. What to be like.
  4. Who certain intimate loyalties should belong too.
  5. What to endure.

Religion, foreign relations, economics, wartime relationships, politics and health care basic rights v. privileges- are topics which only tend to lead to additional confrontation. Yes, I am fully aware that these topics can make for a great debate, but, are you aware, that one false step in one of these forums could cost you your business? Basically stopping you dead in your tracks, before you ever get started.

Look, I personally have made this mistake time and time again. It can be an especially damaging mistake to make, and one so easily made. The key difference is advice is advice, and lecturing is a form of preaching. Anyone can be a preacher, but not everyone can be a friend. If you are a blogger like myself, who is trying to make a sideline income, from writing hubs and articles on the Internet, only play the friend role. Friends stay on top. Like rule number one says, "Get out while you are ahead." Swindling deals, by forcing aggressive viewpoints onto other bloggers, is not a way to get repeat viewers. Be fully apprised, of the five points of reason, why Internet users like to lecture.

4) Literally, you are a "typing billboard" advertisement.

This should speak for itself. The best advertisement deal on the Internet- is word of mouth. Just by participating actively on the Internet, you are advertising your new business adventure. Whether you like it or not.

Therefore, when surfing and finding new places to converse in, simply remember rules number one, two, and three. Pin them to memory!

5) Everyone & anyone is a "know-it-all." Including YOU!

The sooner you come to terms with this, the better off you will be. It is your responsibility, to put forth these top five rules, in motion.

  • Recap the Rules
  • A.) Don't be aggressive and argue with people.
  • B.) Think about what you are writing, or the point that you are trying to make. Think, think, think! Look at the written word, from an outsiders point of view.
  • C.) Avoid the five points of conversation.
  • D.) Be aware of the community format.
  • E.) You don't have to be the smartest one in the room, you just have to be YOU! Keeping an open mind will make you a richer man, than let's say a close-minded one.

Never do chat rooms. I don't do a lot of stuff because I am chicken. Chicken of viruses in my computer, chicken that it would raise questions as to whom I am speaking and a whole bunch of things that you said in your article. I may chat with an acquintance or friend on Facebook but that is the extent of my chatting. I guess chickens don't chat.

Hey Bob, for some reason I am having troubles signing in. But as the saying goes there is more than one way to skin a cat!

I try to stay out of chat rooms myself. But I occasionally troll through some of them for writing ideas or for information I might be thinking about publishing. So I use chat rooms as a resource tool. Hey thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend.

Facinating article. I never really thought chat rooms this deeply. I got off of them over 10 years ago as I found them a waste of time and full of undersexed perverts. Smile!
