Now, I think everybody out there under estimates the power of Cheerleaders. I think the debate has long been over, as far as them being athletes and, whether or not Cheerleading should be considered a sport. If you have ever been to a NCAA football game or basketball game, you know what I'm speaking of. It is quite clear to the rest of us, those who are still debating, apparently don't attend many games.

I personally have been going to college football games, since I was knee high to a grasshopper's butt. Which in all hub practicality, puts that date somewhere around 1979. It is hard to describe why I love going to Division 1 football games so much, but boy, do I ever. Like most division one football or basketball fans, I annually attend many University of Missouri's college Spirit Rallies, Homecoming parades, and have gone so far as to travel to Texas, for a scheduled bowl game. Since having my own season tickets, I have hardy missed a game. I even went so far, as to find a job that would fit in with Missouri Tiger football, game day schedule.

Now I must admit, I love everything about Tiger game day. My heart actually palpitates to the roaring of the crowd. My mouth will start salivating on cue from the smell of cheeseburgers, being grilled on some tailgaters barbecue, and at every victory song played by the mighty Missouri Tiger band, I know the next choreographed dance move, the Tiger Golden Girls will make. Without the cheerleaders or the band, I would not pay money to see the Tiger football team play. I can watch any game like that on my home TV. However, all of it together is the soul embodiment of why I pay thousands of dollars to see the Tigers play, why I don't get a higher paying job that requires me to be on call on weekends, and why I am willing to stand in cold, sleet or rain when on any other given day- I would consider the same action certifiably C R A Z Y!

Cheerleaders, a teenage boys dreams are full of 'em. Problem is some boys never grow up. My dreams are full of my wifee in some little cheerleader outfit yelling, "Gimme a... gimme a...!" Beyond that I'm done with cheerleaders. Either I'm brilliant or I'm an old fuddy-duddy.

Great pics! Thanks for sharing. I definitely agree that cheerleaders add to the overall experience of a game, and they are definitely athletes. Thanks for the post!
