—The Designers
Rounding the top of this year's list of top Haute Couture Wedding Dresses, was famed German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. His 2011 collection of soft, romantic hues and fabrics enlightened my senses. I loved his overall complete Chanel collection, even down to the flashy, silver tuxedo suit. Karl Lagerfeld designs many of Chanel's Fashion House stunning, award winning dresses. Originally born and raised in Hamburg, Germany Karl Lagerfeld is now based out of Paris, France.
In 2001 Karl Lagerfeld lost a substantial amount of weight, with a special weight loss diet designed by Dr. Jean-Claude Houdret. The diet would later become famous when the diet was later launched in,"The Karl Lagerfeld Diet" book. Karl Lagerfeld also design fashions for the House of Fendi.
Jean Paul Gaultier was born in Val-de-Marne, France and is now one of the top, internationally recognized, Grand Couturier, designers today in history. He has hosted his own television show, Eurotrash and has made a name for himself by launching his legendary menswear fashion line, as well as his fabulous fragrance line, for both- men and women.
Elie Saab was born in war torn Beirut, Lebanon. Born to Catholic parents Saab is self-trained. He has his original line's workshop, which he launch in Beirut at the age of 18 still open and has since launched two additional workshops in Milan, Spain and Paris, France.
Christian Dior was born in a seaside town on the coast of France. In Granville, Dior sold his fashion sketches for 10 cents a pop, to start his business. His father actually backed Christian's first business; which was an art shop, where he sold paintings by new and upcoming artists such as Pablo Picasso. It is rumored that the Dior died of a sudden heart attack- while on holiday- from a strenuous, sexual, encounter.

I always find Jean Paul's looks intriguing. They are entertaining at best. You should write more hubs on fashion, fashion designs and designers. I think you would do really well in that category of hubs.
If only I'd known of the lion one when I got married! Grrrr!!! Let the beastie out!! hahaha Come on is nothing sacred? People will do anything to have people look, point and talk. hahaha

I think I like the Christian Lacroix most... the Russian influence is marked, and perhaps the Karl Lagefeld that you like. I think he's used crepe de chine there and that always works well. I just think Gaultier is too bizarre to work well.
